This project involved an update to an approved conceptual water supply and sewerage design for newly planned development plots in Sofia’s Boyana district.
A comprehensive assessment of the existing utility infrastructure was carried out, including a review of the approved design, an update of the sewer catchment areas, and an evaluation of how the revised development plan would affect the surrounding networks.
For the sewerage system, the hydraulic capacity of the main collector was verified using updated catchment data. The analysis confirmed that the new development plots could be connected without overloading the existing sewer network.
For the water supply system, the approved concept was extended through the design of new distribution branches, the provision of the required fire hydrants, and the development of a reliable supply arrangement for the planned properties.
The final solution integrates water supply, sewerage, and the existing urban infrastructure into a coordinated engineering concept. It enables the proposed development to proceed without requiring major modifications to the primary utility networks.
